I just want to go somewhere Mike hasn't been. That will satisfy me for now because I know I have a LOT of catching up to do if I want to even come close to Mike. And Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan don't count cos it wasn't for pleasure so much as it was for business... (though it was cool to spend time in Kyrgyzstan).
I think Colombia might be the moneymaker.

How can Afghanistan not count, Nicole? You LIVED there. You see so much more of a country, and learn so much more of a culture, when you've lived there for a number of months, or years. And Laura -- you've been to a number of places that I haven't in Africa. I mean, heck, you opened me up to the possibility of the Dem. Rep. of the Congo. After you said what you did, I grab the newest Lonely Planet at the bookstore and read up on taking side trips to there across the border from other countries. I would never have known it was possible if it hadn't been for you doing the trailblazing.
But, anyway, thanks for the props, folks...!

So Mike, how many countries have you been to?
Also a friend of mine has recently got back from a short trip to Mali, if you have any questions I could put you in contact with him.

-- I have to recount them, but it's in the 70s.
And Adam, I think you've been to quite a few more countries than I had at your age. So, in my opinion, you're winning Joey's "amazing race"...
And that would be great if you could put me in contact with your friend who's been to Mali. I do have a few questions for them. I've done quite a bit of research, but hearing the scoop from someone who's recently been there is always the best.
