Work & Travel in OZ for the unprivileged
I'm not qualified to get the work holiday visa, just getting the tourist visa is a pain in the a$$. As I do not have a first class passport, but I still wanna be given the chance to see the world, just like everyone else here.
So I wanna travel around OZ then maybe after 6 months or 1 year, hopefully to Mongolia, then hitchhike from country to country.
To support my travel in OZ, I wanna market my skills, and professional experience in exchange for job sponsorship, but in case I can't find any, are there any casual jobs there in Gold coast City?
I heard that the authorities are getting stricter, has anyone been caught working without the proper visa? Or no one here has this kind of problem?

From what I've learned, Oz has some pretty strict rules on hiring illegal workers, for businesses at least so they don't want to take chances on the hefty fines that await them should they get caught.
Many backpackers who don't have the proper paper work end up picking fruit or working at bars and hostels under the table.
If those options don't suffice, your best bet is to maybe apply for a student visa and work that angle. Hope it helps! Let us know what you do !
