Went away for 2 months last summer. I worked and saved money for almost a year. This August I'm going to go for 3 1/2 months.

6 weeks in ireland, but starting september 5th ill be in the uk and europe for almost a year!!! whoo hoo i CANT WAIT!!! :D:D:D:D:D

I was gone for 3 months: europe(cork, dublin, edinburgh, amsterdam, berlin, prague, munich, paris, venice, cinque terre, pisa, florence, roma, athens, london)egypt , and colorado!

Well I was gonna be gone for a year 2 years ago then I broke my leg so it was only 3 motnhs, this time Im planning on being away for a year and a half 2 years living outta my pack so thats considerd traveling, I hope I get that done Im at motnh 3 already whoohoo!

I have a question, how can you guys afford living?? I'm a student and i had enough difficulty living on my own and trying to save up for a three week trip. Unless you guys are working while travelling, that's understandable.

Some people have cut their living expenses down a ton just by not going out as much, not driving (if in a city with good public transportation), not eating out as much, not buying many new toys or gadgets, etc etc. Plus depending on where your going and how your staying like in hostels vs hotels, or stay with a friend etc. Most people try to figure about 50 bucks a day or so while traveling.

longest i traveled was 2 months and only 2 countries--germany and denmark
