i live in savage. we have like.....100 people. bit of an exxageration but hey. only one i can think of is rams head tavern and thats a restaurant....
so thats one "pub" for 100 people and neighboring columbums since columbia has NO nightlife (and exciting time for two 18 year olds is to go to the movies or the new cheesecake factory... if theyre really adventurous theyll go to college park or towson or something). so the bored columbians probably sneak off there to get some excitement in their lives. either that or they'll go to a local kkk meeting in the savage woods
i think through this post you now understand why i MUST leave howard county pronto.

Hrmm.. I live in a town of 770,000, so I don't think I can even start to count how many bars, pubs and clubs there are. Considering San Francisco's the city with the most restaurants per capita, I can imagine it ranks pretty high up there considering there's a bar next to and across the street from every freakin' restaurant!

Um... lots. Somewhat comparable to San Francisco, probably one or two less per capita. Beyond that I have no idea.

Pfft I say Pft!
We have a population of about 1500 and we have 8 pubs and one nightclub. They'll be building another nightclub soon. That's what? one pub to every 187 people?
The weird thing is the population has doubled in the past year and pubs have actually shut down 5 years ago we had 18 pubs and two nightclubs.

Julia, my dear, there are plenty of Pubs and Bars around the Columbia area.
Going down Snowden, there's the chain joints, but there's also Columbia Ale House. And Nottinghams, and Sonoma's, and Rocky Run.
There's also a ton of roadhouses down Rt. 1 from where you are.
There's Clyde's near the Mall, etc etc.
Where I live, there are three within a short walk. Each is a bit of a redneckin' joint, but in the middle of the evening when I need beer, I can get a sixer to go...
And then there's Baltimore. Hell, in Federal Hill alone there's about 15-20, same for Canton, and Fel's Point. Then there's the Powerplant complex which has 6 or so shake yer arse clubs...
Its just because you're young, kiddo... you haven't found a watering hole yet :D

I live in Newark, about 5 minutes from University of Delaware campus. There's about 5 on Main Street and 15ish around the town.

Okay okay maybe I was stretching the truth a BIT when I said Columbia had nothing... BUT Rocky Run is a restaurant! HA! :D
But now I'm wondering... If you're looking at Savage... there really is nothing. Seriously.

I live in Chi Town, so there's really not point in counting, but my original hometown of about 200 people had 2 bars, 1 strip club and supper club with bar.
