Dubrovnik in the top 10 top destinations for 2010. British Airways
Dubrovnik has been named in a British Airways list of the top ten destinations for 2010. The airline has compiled a list of the destinations it expects to be a hit with holidaymakers next year and it will probably come as no surprise that Cape Town is in the number one spot. However, BA expects Dubrovnik to continue to grow in popularity and places “the jewel of the Adriatic” in sixth place. Other destinations on the list include New York, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and the Indian capital Delhi.

Dubrovnik is the bomb. That place is so fun and beautiful. I went back in 2007 (sigh - that sounds so long ago).
I have some pics at Dubrovnik - a set on Flickr if anyone cares...

best bet for staying in Dubrovnik if you have a few people together - rent a room or a whole house together. There are plenty of people waiting at the ferry/airport/bus stops offering their places to rent. You can really get some good deals. Just make sure you know what you want it to have, where you want it to be wrt to town, and how much it costs. and don't pay til you've seen it.
But we rented a 2 bedroom floor in a house, private bath, kitchen, etc for a few days. had a garden to sit and eat/drink in for pretty cheap.
