Figured it was time to post about this...we hiked up Ben Nevis while in Scotland a couple weeks ago. Easily the highlight of the trip, and certainly an awesome way to end it off!

i went up ben nevis when i was like 8 or something,it was piss easy,im now 18,just shirt, shorts, hat, walking boots,we (the family and i) were lucky,it was sunny, also once a year there's an event called the ben race, basically people run up the ben, then back down, how simple, everyone gets a medal i think,my uncle does,it,but, yea where they start and finish, some events go on there,im sure if you google'd it,you'd get dates,

^ I'm sure its a LOT easier in summer - when we went up it was with crampons and ice picks, as the upper 2000+ feet was all ice. It was also a near white out with snow pouring down near the top, so yea...not so easy. I'd love to do it again in summer time.
