Default Hiking/Camping in Ireland and Switzerland

Hello! I'm going to Europe for the first time at the end of March and am planning on hiking in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland and around Interlaken Switzerland (will be making side trips to Grimmelwald and Lauterbrunnen.) Does anyone know of some 1, 2, or half day long trails in the area that I should check out? I'd love to find some trails that go through the mountains and have really nice views. Also, has anyone backcountry camped in Switzerland? I'm a little unsure if this is possible on a multi-day trail or if they strictly prohibit it? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
