It seems that someone was able to acceed one of my yahoo account and changed the password. Since I had written false info when registering, I can't get back to it.
I called yahoo, and they said they couln't do nothing, neither to re-access the account, nor give me more protection (if this intruder came once, why not twice ???).
Does anyone have solutions ? How was it possible for someone to get inside like that ? And it was a new password, because I had noticed last week that somebody was trying to find a way in (yahoo ask for a special code after 5 missed attemps at a password).

Yeah, drop Yahoo and their silly "privacy" policies
Actually, all the free webmail providers have rather infuriating privacy policies... but at least gMail works well and give you a ton of storage space - might want to just look into switching!
The account hackers usually try to tap in so they can log on to Yahoo IM and spam people on your buddy and email list... lovely, huh?

Thanks !
Why me ? Well, anyway, I am flushing yahoo for sure. The lovely yahoo lady, working at the customer service, had one answer to all my questions : I don't know.
What is this gmail thing ? How is it different ?

gmail is google's email service and you get like 2600 GIGs of storage space. It's easier to use, faster load times and just all around better.
Something tells me it would be harder to crack into as well being newer but it is invite only so you need to have an email account that I can send an invite to, savvy?

gMail accounts are given out by invitation only. In other words, you have to be invited by a current gMail user to sign up. If you send Jake (or myself) your current email address, you can be invited!
To quote Mel Gibson in Braveheart,

... who was the very first one, the one who hadn't been invited ? God ?

That sucks, E! Hope that you didn't have anything super personal/sensitive info in there !
That's right up there with getting your website hacked :greenguy: .
Why are there so many haters in this world....
If anyone else want a gmail account, you can PM me too. I have plenty of invites still.

I got a ton of invites too if anyone needs one. Gmail is great but I have been lazy thus far on switching it all over. I absolutely HATE changing emails and I used one hotmail for all my "website signups/spam" and the other to give to people
I am simply going to have to start giving out my gmail and send a mass mail to everyone to change their address books.
