I had some questions about backpacking Europe and posted them on a few travel websites, but this was the only site that gave me useful replies. That was back when there was hardly anyone traffic here too.

i think i'm the first "from a friend." Tecia introduced me to this site. we went to college together for photography and both daydreamed about traveling the world and shooting awesome pics.

She is doing a freakin' crazy class schedule at the University of Texas in Arlington. not to mention she has a two year old little boy. i'll be seeing her in about 2 weeks, so i tell her how much she is missed by her fellow travelpunks.

I believe I was clicking around on Rick Steve's site when I was despondent and desparate to get out of the country and found this place and didnt really post much until after I met tecia, somn, and james... and then much more after meeting the godfather.

Well, me and a mate were coming up with ideas for a cool website to make and thought a travel msg board would be wicked and completely original. So, we did a little search on the net to find out that our original idea was not that original after all. So, i joined just to see what was offered and if i could make a better one.....needless to say the travel website idea went out the window after looking around this site for a while, it offered everything that we had come up with and much more.
Props to ya Tony

If you're looking for a way to promote Tpunk you could try myspace. Make a whole separate username devoted to Tpunk. It seems everyone is on there these days and you can post about Tpunk in the travel groups.
