Forest ensures ample fresh water availability, food sources, and resources for shelter, fire, and tools.

SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) qualified, so survival situations like that don't scare me.

I'd say island, but sub-tropical. Someplace more temperate like Bermuda than some truly tropical island where I could end up dying of malaria and shit.

I'll take the tropical island, even though I'm most at home in the mountains. I could live off of tropical fruit forever, and if I do wind up dying, at least I'd die in paradise.

I've gotta go with the island, places with fruit and, hopefully, fresh springwater. Plus, I hate winter.

Besides that forests in mountains have BIGFOOT and I am betting he has some sweet shindigs that he would let you stay at for awhile. Besides that your chances of hiking off a mountain and finding civilization are way better than flaggin down a passing ship!
